A HOMEPRO inspection will help you gain the perspective and sound information you need whether you are preparing to sell, investigating a home for purchase, or just needing more information about your current home. Our experienced home inspectors have integrity, good communication skills, a helping attitude, and mature judgment. ------------------------------------ Our Standards ------------------------------------ No previous profession fully prepares anyone to be a home inspector. To ensure our inspectors have specialized training and continuous education, we require they be enrolled in the National Certification Program (NCP). The NCP is managed and administered by the National Certification Authority, and was established to allow home and property inspectors to be certified as competent and qualified professionals. Business owner, George Webb, is a National Certificate Holder, recognized as a Registered Home Inspector (RHI) with the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors (OAHI), and a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). HOMEPRO Inspections is a member of the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (CAHPI). Your written report is broken out into eight major sections: > Structural > Heating & Air Conditioning > Electrical > Basement / Crawlspace / Slab > Plumbing > Kitchen > Exterior > Interior HomePro’s detailed and easy-to-read reports will: • Summarize a home's condition in perspective to its peers. • Outline the major and minor points of concern. • Segregate problems into major/minor groupings. • Report on potentially dangerous items. • Identify potential remodeling problems such as asbestos containing materials and expansion limitations. • Specify evidence of substandard workmanship and lack of home maintenance. • Report complexity and subjectivity of opinions. • Project a five year systems and component budget. • If necessary, suggest more specific in-depth checks. ------------------------------------ Preparing for Your Inspection ------------------------------------ You will need to budget about three hours for a home inspection. Inspections are most effective if small children and extended family members are not there to distract you. Ensure utilities are on and arrange for access to the property.
